Organ Olympiad of the Evangelical Church - Guests are welcome at the Saarbrücken regional decision

On Friday, July 21, from 6 p.m., organ enthusiasts from the region will compete on the large Beckerath organ in the Ludwigskirche in Saarbrücken as part of the first Organ Olympics of the Evangelical Church.

Nine organists between the ages of 14 and 63 will perform at the church music event. They will present themselves to the jury of professional musicians and experts with a 10-minute program. The diverse field of participants, from organ students to part-time veterans, promises a varied musical enjoyment. Interested parties are cordially invited to attend the audition as guests. Admission is free.

The winners of the regional decision will be invited to Cologne for the final round on the German Organ Day, Sunday, September 10, where they will play for the gold, silver and bronze organ pipe. In addition, various promotional prizes are awarded. The Organ Olympiad will take place for the first time this year. It is organized by the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland as part of the ORGEL ON youth development program. Patron is President Dr. Thorsten Latzel.

Church Music Director Ulrich Seibert provides information: Ulrich.Seibert@ekir.de .
